OverviewThe STMFD Employee App is provided by the St. Matthews Fire Department ("STMFD") for use by authorized department personnel. This Privacy Policy describes what information the application collects, how it is used, and how it is protected.
Information We CollectThe STMFD Employee App may collect and process the following information:
  • Department email address and account information through Microsoft 365 authentication.
  • Device information required to deliver push notifications.
  • Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) device tokens used to send department notifications.
  • Application usage information necessary to provide app functionality.
How We Use InformationInformation collected by the STMFD Employee App is used solely for department operations and application functionality, including:
  • Authenticating authorized users.
  • Delivering department announcements and notifications.
  • Providing access to schedules, policies, forms, and operational information.
  • Supporting application maintenance and troubleshooting.
Push NotificationsThe application uses Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) to deliver department notifications. Device notification tokens are stored securely and are used only for the purpose of delivering STMFD-related communications.
Information SharingSTMFD does not sell, rent, or share personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
Information may be processed through trusted service providers necessary to operate the application, including:
  • Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Entra ID
  • Microsoft SharePoint
  • Microsoft Azure
  • Google Firebase Cloud Messaging
Data SecuritySTMFD takes reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect information used by the application. Access to application resources is restricted to authorized personnel and authenticated department users.
Data RetentionInformation is retained only as long as necessary to support department operations, application functionality, and applicable recordkeeping requirements.
Authorized UseThe STMFD Employee App is intended solely for authorized St. Matthews Fire Department personnel. Unauthorized use of the application is prohibited.
Changes to This PolicySTMFD may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Updated versions will be posted at this location with a revised effective date.
